Home Energy Efficiency Program: Surveys close May 9, 2022
Your input will help us better understand the needs of residents.
Please take a few minutes to ‘‘Complete the Survey’ before the May 9 deadline
The City of Peterborough is seeking public input to inform the development of a new Home Energy Efficiency Program (HEEP) to help homeowners plan and complete home energy renovations. The survey seeks information about homeowners’ experiences related to home renovations, perceived barriers preventing home energy retrofits, financing preferences, and identifying appealing program features for HEEP consideration.
Once the program is established, it will aim to achieve the following:
- Help homeowners reduce their homes’ energy consumption
- Provide supportive retrofit financing options for participants
- Prioritize the local economy and trades to benefit from the increased renovation activity
- Reduce greenhouse gas emissions via energy efficiency, renewable energy, and other low carbon measures
- Target deep and moderate energy renovation projects in the community
We want to build a program that’s easy for residents to access when they are considering investing in their home to reduce energy costs while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Additional information will be posted at connectptbo.ca/HomeEnergy as the plan develops.
.@CityPtbo needs broad input from homeowners & rental property owners to assist in developing a finance model for Home Energy Retrofits that best suits the needs of our community.
Take the survey by May 9 to help design a program that works for everyone!https://t.co/Ivq2LnYW4e
